Who are you?
My name is Michael Ferris, and I’m a former Make A Wish® kid and Hollywood manager. I created this website with a group of studio readers, managers, and professional screenwriters all interested in one thing: breaking down the wall between you and your screenwriting wishes – namely, selling your spec script.

So far I’ve helped one film student from Tennessee (Travis Beacham - CLASH OF THE TITANS) sell his spec script to New Line Cinema (Killing on Carnival Row), hooked up a student from West Virginia (Mike Martin) with an option on his script (S.P.E.C.T.E.R.) and a Hollywood manager from Anonymous Content, and helped high school English teacher Gayne Young get an option on his script EATERS OF MEN. We’ve also helped facilitate the sale of one children’s TV show, and two reality shows.

How does this work?
For our Agent Pre-Screen and Studio Notes services, it starts when you email your script to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

We then read your screenplay twice before writing our in-depth script notes. We do this in order to take the care to notice the subtle story and character details you put in your script. This helps to not only focus our notes and comments, but also allows us to evaluate which of our contacts would like your work so that we can help you sell your screenplay.

Lastly, we write your Agent Pre-Screen or Studio Notes - making sure to include every step necessary to get the script into shape – and send it back to you. We take deep pride in providing our industry's most professional screenwriting consultation, and answer any and all questions. And if you want any screenwriting or general movie biz advice, we're always open to that as well.

If a script is ready to go when we receive it, then we talk to you about who we want to send it out to, and proceed to call those contacts and tell them about your work. After we get them excited about your script, we send them a copy, which they eagerly read.

It’s that easy for us to get your foot in the door, and maybe get you your big screenwriting break.

Why do you want to help me?
As a Make A Wish® kid who got the opportunity to see my dreams come true, I’ve since had a passion for helping others.

As a former film student, I know exactly what it feels like to write something that you think is great, yet have no way of getting Hollywood executives to read your spec script. It’s a terrible, overwhelming feeling: If I could just get an agent or studio to read it, I’d be on
my way!

It’s those two experiences that have let me to want to help others who haven’t had the opportunities I’ve had get their foot in the door.

With powerful screenplay notes and incomparable Hollywood contacts, I want to help you get your work polished, read, repped, and bought.

Where do your contacts work?
We’ve got friends and acquaintances at CAA, WMA, ICM, Warner Brothers, Fox, Paramount, Sony, Anonymous Content, 3Arts, Kaplan/Perrone, Kopelson Entertainment, and many other assorted production companies around town. We don't know everyone in the business, but we know enough.
